Shodasha means sixteen. The word varga means a part or division. The Shodasa Vargas, or sixteen divisional charts, are studied in Vedic Astrology to understand the true nature of an individual. Each varga focuses on a distinct area of life, and together they form a comprehensive picture of life. They reflect human consciousness, from reality to the subconscious. The Shodasa Vargas are a specialized technique and essential to Vedic astrology.
Vargas are essential for all students of Vedic Astrology to study. The Course is an in-depth study of the sixteen vargas following Sage Parasara’s guidelines. I am incorporating the knowledge of other classics, as well as my personal experience.
Vargas highlights the various aspects within us, including how we utilise our resources, and reveals both our strengths and weaknesses. We will study all 16 Vargas in depth and then learn to analyse them, providing students with comprehensive and in-depth knowledge.
Level four features a new advanced topic of Vedic astrology each year. Rotating topics of Vedic Astrology are chosen for deeper study.
